Body Mass Index (B.M.I.)

The Body Mass Index (B.M.I.) can be used to check out if you are on a healthy “area”. It is calculated by this formula:
weight[kg]/(height[cm]*height[cm]).

The good thing about this simple formula is that it is an easy way for you to check out how well you are (this is just good to have an general idea of how you are).

  • If your result is lower than 18.5 then you are considered to be underweight (catwalk models are generally on this “category”).
  • If your result is between 18.5 and 24.9 then you are considered to have the ideal weight (but it doesn’t necessarily mean you are healthy).
  • If your result is between 25.0 and 29.9 then you are considered to be overweight (which means you should pay attention).
  • If your result is 30.0 or higher then you are considered to be obese (don’t you think it is about time to worry about your health?).
